There is literally no point to voting for Riemer. None at all.

So your choices are Blair or Elrich who are two very different candidates.

I'm voting Elrich then. I'll be taking my ballot to the drop box tonight.

+1

Cool, voting for Elrich now. I was one of the undecided voters who was polled in the recent polls.

Wait, what's wrong with him? I like him. What am I missing?

What about Blair’s platform screams Republican to you?
https://www.blairformontgomery.com/vision

I know. Here, if you aren't insanely progressive, you are seen as a fascist. No room for moderates or liberals.

If you're a progressive, the right will always villainize you like this. You're insane. Sorry but if you want "moderates", I'm sure there are other places you could live. You know what MoCo politics are like and you choose to stay here. What is it you right wingers are always saying about people having the option to move? Move to Texas or whatever.

I have lived here since 2007. It was a very different place. It’s only been under Elrich’s reign that things have imploded. I haven't voted Republican since 2000. I am a mainline Democrat but not progressive. While i believe in progressive ideas, I see that leadership isn’t smart enough to implement wide sweeping changes without harming the very people they aim to help.

+1. Have also lived here a while and have noticed the changes. Even within a listserv I am on, there is such increasing hostility from the progressives towards other members who aren’t in lock step with their progressive ideals. That type of animosity used to be directed towards trump and republicans and now they’ve turned inward. It’s bizarre.

Republicans don't want me to exist. Some want me dead. I'm not going to both sides people that want to murder me.

This is intolerance in action and illustrates so much that is wrong with political discourse.

I want every race to have ranked choice voting so someone who is the last of over half the electorate doesn’t win.

Wow. You just illustrated PP’s point. I’m also a liberal and have always voted that way. But you just told me there is no room for me in Montgomery County. If I am not super progressive I am a “right winger” and I should “move to Texas”? Can you not see how you are immediately discrediting and labeling people who mostly agree with you?

If you want to show your unwavering support for failed housing policy and subsidies for Wall Street, then voting for Hans makes sense even if he finishes in third place. For some people, it’s important to send a message that this county does not care about renters and is happy to have middle class families subsidize billionaires.

Blair gives me Youngkin vibes. All Mr. Friendly Neighbor smile but ice pick eyes.

So it has nothing to do with his platform at all. Just his appearance. Okay.

You will have sent a message by intentionally voting for a candidate who you know who cannot win, unintentional consequences be damned.

If someone's name is on the ballot, then by definition, they can win.
