As promised.
Received them yesterday - quick shipping to DMV because I think the origin is out of Eaton MD so they have a distribution point there I guess.
Packaging - fitted styrofoam cooler in box - which I will use, but if you order multiple times I can see where this can get old. It's a nice container with cold ice packs. Everything was frozen - even the sauces lol which was fine.
Ordered the pork ones and chicken ones. DC liked the chicken, DH and I liked both equally. DC doesn't even usually like Asian (and I'm Asian but sigh) but he did like these. The packaging is resealable so you take out the dumplings you want and reseal for next time. Fit in my freezer just fine. We liked all three sauces but the chili crisp was the fave. DC mixed a little chili crisp with soy sauce. He didn't like the other ones.
You can order the bamboo steamer - which I did, but if you already have one it isn't necessary. My other steamer was getting old so threw that in the order. They provided the parchment inserts (they are in the frozen bag with the dumplings).
Quick cooking - boiled water in pot bigger than steamer. Added about 1 1/2 water, boiled water, set steamer and they were ready in 11 minutes.
Taste was great. Not as "fresh/great" as if you were sitting in a restaurant but very close and it's hard to get actual soup dumplings here rather than steamed buns or bao. The dumplings weren't too much dough, not too thick, and were fairly small in size but nice one bite. We cooked 20 for 3 of us (DC is 8) and it was enough.
I would order again.
