I don't have skinny arms and legs. Never will. I wear longer sleeves and don't wear shorts.

I have a bigger bust, small waist and nice curved bottom. These I show/wear clothing that is more fitted.

I'm fine with it. I'd rather be a little hot than wear sleeveless or shorts. I like looking my best and don't want to do cosmetic surgery for my natural shape.

Excuses, eat less

You would be less mean if you had a sandwich.

Not true. If it were, people wouldn't struggle to lose weight. Some medications cause weight gain. Losing weight is a lot more complex than eat less food.

I am a big advocate of exercise. Just do it everyday or at least 5 times a week. You will feel better and over time you will look better and have more confidence in yourself.

My body is really well-proportioned and looks damn good, but clothes that don't fit well can make me look awful. Nicely fitted clothes are critical.

I will say that when I got married, I tried on a $6k wedding dress that made my boobs look amazing. After some thought and discussions with my mom, I decided to get a $5k boob job and a $1k wedding dress. Now, my boobs look amazing in whatever I wear

Are you serious, OP? Most humans have some body attributes that can not be fully changed by diet and exercise. If you have a tendency to store body fat on your arms or tummy or wherever, you can whittle your body fat down to single digits, but will still have more fat on that one spot than on others. Cellulite is another item that you can't out-exercise or diet. Why do you think things like liposuction exist?

I spent way too much time religiously tracking my cardio and strength workouts and tracking every calorie and macro in My Fitness Pal at the expense of family, friends, and doing things that I enjoy. I can be healthy 10 pounds more and not cut and no longer have any desire to focus on 'fixing' my perceived flaws. Now I choose clothes that feel good to wear and that I feel confident in. For example, I have a long torso so rompers aren't as flattering, my waist is naturally small so I like to wear dresses with belted waists. I like my calves more than my thighs so a lot of my dresses are just above the knee. Sure I know I could diet my way down and workout like a maniac and wear tiny shorts and fitted tanks to show off my 'fixed' body, but that is not how I choose to use my time and I also really like enjoying a good meal with friends in a restaurant and taking DC out for an ice cream cone just because it's summer and traveling with my family without being obsessed with checking menus ahead of time for all the possible restaurants.

Guys I think between this OP and the one who told us that grey hair doesn't make someone look young, we've cracked the code!

Everyone can stop searching for answers about how to look and feel good now!!

How did you drop so much weight so fast? Would love to know. I am struggling to go from a 14 to a 10 that I was pre-Covid.

OP, the approach you’re advocating for weight issues can also apply to personality disorders. Try it sometime.

Everyone has things they don’t like, even if they are in optimal shape. There are also reasons why people want fuller coverage options that have nothing to do with body confidence. They may have to do with modesty or who you’re around, sun protection, comfort when doing sports, etc.

OP, I am 58 years old, 3 pregnancies. I eat healthy and work out 5 times a week. My body will never be ideal. I am ok with that. I wear skirted bathing suits. I guess, according to you, I should just stay home and hide myself. Am I getting that correct?
