I wonder if the people who are drawn to post on a romance thread and the people who are fans of the silly comedy-mystery "Psych" intersect at all. I find it can be one of the most romantic shows ever, but then, I love the characters and watching crazy people fall into devoted love is somehow doubly romantic.

Best romantic moment is a wordless one: A handwritten note, pressed up against the glass that separates a very strait-laced and uptight cop from the genuinely guilty woman he's just arrested, whom he's visiting in jail. They've spent a total of maybe two hours together, counting the arrest. His note says:

"I will wait for you these six to eighteen months. See you next Wednesday."

It's not some outsized declaration of love or hot moment of passion or huge gesture, but it's a perfectly in-character moment of complete, irreversible dedication.

basically any Outlander scene with Jamie and Claire. Even in front of the fireplace at Castle Leoch when they've just met is steamy.

I can relate to all of those but especially Witness, my favorite movie ever, loved the barn scene but also this:

Dirty Dancing--where Baby says she's afraid of walking out that door and never feeling that way about anyone (and the aftermath). And then when she nails the lift at the end

Jamie decides to share (and act out) a detailed sexual fantasy with Claire.

Totally obscure, but just in case someone else out there loves the brief but delightful series "Galavant":

"Put. Down. That. Cat."

Never has a nutty comedy made me root for a couple as hard as I always root for Richard and Roberta. In fact, no drama or romance or supposedly highbrow show has made me root for a couple as hard as I do for this one in the goofy comedy. Now streaming on Hulu, folks. Time to re-watch....
