$130 isn’t that much

Set a budget and let your kid make a list from a few online shops. My kid needs specific shoes for various sports and daily lifestyle, so I get a sense of what styles are liked and if the choices are more than my budget just shop around until we find somewhat that works.

my daughter and all her friends wear Air Force 1s, Vans and Converse high tops (and some low tops)

My 15yo loves Platform converse and Air Force 1s. Her favorite go-to pair now are white Reebok classics.

But she will wear almost anything, as long as it’s “name brand” including Fila , Hoka, On, Adidas, new balance, etc. Nike range from $30 to $200+.

Your kid needs to try them on though. Different shoes for differently and also depends on what she mostly wears and if they’re for running or PE or just day-to-day.

converse or vans

I have 4 kids of varying ages and it seems like converse and vans have ALWAYS been a stylish enough option.

Mine wears Nike Air Max, Vans, Chucks and Dunk.

Air force ones are in now. You can customize them and get all fancy and expensive but the all white ones are the cheapest. They run about $100. I also like Nike Blazers, which are about $90. They come in multiple colors. Converse are nice but hard to work out in. For basic running shoes, most kids don't care as long as it has the Nike logo. Basic all-black Nike shoes are right around $50. Crocs are really popular right now but they aren't sports shoes.
