This is one response: Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard
In law school, professors would caution us before exams not to "fight the hypothetical". I never got what that meant. Until now.
The suggestion you quote is only missing "plays" and "city." There is lots of culture, good food and walking around at both places. I can't believe you got into law school. You don't seem smart enough.

Otherwise, I also agree on Chicago and Boston. Philly if you haven’t already done.
Willing to go to Canada? Like it’s some scary place?
DP.
I know two families (one Canadian and one American) whose travel plans were thwarted in the last week thanks to Air Canada canceling or rerouting flights. One family had to rent a car and drive through several states to get to a wedding. Plus: who knows what will happen with covid.
So, yeah, not everyone is up for gambling with international travel—particularly for an impromptu long weekend.
Yes, the same thing happens in the US. What does being in Canada have to do with it?
Wow, some people are so anxiety ridden!

When I do weekend trips, I like to fly into smaller airports and Providence fits the bill.
