I love that dolce gabbana dress, but the price does seem a bit steep as it reminds me of a LANZ sundress. I think if you pair with a portrait hat will look dressier.

If you want white tie, don’t chose a farm wedding. No tux or ball gown for us. And boy would our family have a field day discussing this.

I agree that white tie is super strange for 11 AM, but just because an event is on a farm doesn’t mean it’s a hoedown. These days many barns have been retrofetted into formal event spaces. Although the brunch portion of the wedding is throwing me off!

Something like this would be perfect.

That is ugly and frumpy.

For reference: it is a wedding, venue is a farm and it will be outdoor brunch reception.

White tie at a brunch outdoors on a farm?
Please come back and tell us all about this event after it happens!

That dress is perfect for a morning wedding on a farm. Wear flats, not heels.

Not for 11 am!

That’s fine for 11 a.m. I see people wear dresses like that to regular church. It’s just a long dress, not a gown-gown.

White tie is only for evening in a formal setting. They probably want formal morning dress.

Please, do not wear a ball gown before 6 p
.m.

Wow this is so sad I’m so many levels.

I once went to a wedding where the groom really wanted to wear a morning coat to an evening wedding. People were talking about it. It was a fancy nyc affair.

Why are you blaming brides? My clueless friend insisted on wearing a tux to his wedding even though it was summer, morning, outdoors on a farm in Ohio. He just had always pictured himself wearing a tux with a black bow tie, and he looked out of place at his own wedding. His bride wore a simple sheath that looked perfect for the time of day and location.

Ooooh, I like that dress. I agree that would look great for something on the formal side or something on the garden party side.
