It will definitely go over ask, considerably.
It's a nice looking house, but that is not the desirable part of Takoma Park. Near the train tracks and DC border, have to cross two major roads to get to the schools and downtown TKPK. I think 1.2 is about right. Maybe a tad higher.
That was my reaction. I like Takoma Park but if I'm going to spend over a million there it has to be closer to Carroll Avenue or otherwise it could be any random part of Silver Spring or Wheaton.
I mean, this house would be $1.2 in other parts of SS/Wheaton.
Those saying 2.5 baths isn't enough don't know TKPK real estate. This house not only has a PR on the ground floor, it has an actual main bedroom suite plus a full bath (with three! additional bedrooms) on the second floor. Plus there's a rough-in bath in the basement. All that to say, this house has very desirable elements that MANY homes, including similarly and higher priced homes, in TKPK DON'T have.
This house is gorgeous. It will certainly go above ask.

Why is Maryland so cheap? I’ve never lived in Maryland, but you plop that house into falls church and it’s would be double the price. Puke and all.
Are you 12?

Agree the general location is good, house great, but trains would be a serious reservation for me (and perhaps a dealbreaker) and why I suspect the price is not as high as folks might expect.

I lived near a train in college after a week or two I stopped noticing it. It is less of an issue than people think.
