+1 This is what I do to. I tip at a traditional sit-down restaurants... Red Robin, Thai restaurant, etc. I tip for delivery/curbside pickup. But I do not tip at Chipotle, Subway, Cava, etc.

I asked the teen girl cashier at the pizza place we go to a lot who gets the tips. She said they all go to her. Why in the hell would I tip some teen girl $5 or whatever to literally turn around and grab my pizza? We stopped tipping there because it seemed so unfair that tips aren't shared with the boys in the back who actually bust their tails making the pizza and sweating over the ovens.

NO WHY WOULD YOU? There is no table service to tip for. They are doing their job which they are getting paid for.

Why is this asked over and over again?

I tip nice at my favorite sushi place and really the only place we do take out lately. Shout out to Niwano Hana!

Always. I want the restaurant to stay in business and the staff to stay at tstaff. A few bucks won't make a difference in my family's lifestyle, but absolutely can make a difference for the restaurant staff.

If you do tip, make sure to ask the cash register person if THEY receive the tip money. A local deli told me no, so I tip them in cash there. No more than 10%

This I can get behind. 15-20% on pick-up??? Nope.

You throw a few dollars in for the server who had to put your order together (if its also a sit down restaurant). That is standard. Not standard to tip at a place like Panera.
