Don't worry about the credit. It is unlikely to affect when your student graduates or whether they have to take a course. Instead, focus on whether they are interested in engineering and want to know more about the discipline.

It's sort of like AP for engineering. Some schools will give credit, other won't, just like APs.

UMBC accepts PLTW credit (or at least they did for 2020 graduates)
