Almost the same for Columbia. We were allowed in at Fall semester drop off/move in, but no other time, haven’t been allowed in dorm since. Had to have vaccination cards and negative test within 72 hours to assist with move in.

Allowed at her uni. There was a move in crew to get her stuff up three flights of stairs. This also encouraged her to be a minimalist and order what she needed later. Yes of course we came to visit but move in and move out was on her.

When my child moved in Fall of 2020, not only were we not allowed in the dorm, but DC could only make 1 trip from the car in (before starting a quarentine) so it was just what could be carried. A big suitcase and a roller duffle. We shipped anything else. In some ways it made things easier. Only bare essentials which is really all kids need and have space for.

I was at the same drop off at Radford today Would have liked to have seen DC's room but i totally understand how having parents there would have totally messed up their flow. The staff was so organized!

I've seen it a few different ways at our older DC's school.
1st semester 2020- only 2 family members were.allowed at one time. There were 3 of us so we took turn.

2nd semester- parents not allowed.

1st senester 2021- only 2 helpers/ parents allowed, masks required

By move out day spring 2022, no restrictions, no masks.

My kids' colleges have always allowed parents in to help unload. Usually we're given a two-hour window for parking, etc. Just enough time to help lug everything in and assist with setting up. Weird that a college wouldn't let parents do that.
