A group of girls intentionally and repeatedly sat near the nut free table with peanuts and Nutella to torment her. The school did nothing until another girl wrote a note to my daughter telling her to jump off a building because everyone hated her and no one would miss her. During the ensuing bullying investigation, the vice principal outed my daughter to other students. That investigation was ongoing when COVID hit and, to my knowledge, was never completed. We left FCPS and will not return.
So, no, I don't think bullying is better just because it is AAP.

The answer isn’t black and white.
Is there bullying in AAP? Yes.
Is there the same amount of bullying in AAP as in general ed? Very likely not.
You all can’t be this stupid. You really think some IQ score makes you more or less prone to being mean to others? You think that kids who are in a class with other kids that scored well on some tests are less likely to be cruel to others. Take a look at the world around you. By your reasoning, no student at Harvard or Stanford should worry about bullying behavior, but at the community college, it would be rampant.
Stop rationalizing your desire to segregate your own kids but still maintain your “woke” status. I’ve taught 5th & 6th grade for almost 25 years. The meanest behavior I’ve seen was from the “smartest” kids. They knew which buttons to push in other kids and how to fly under the radar with nasty behavior.
If you had bothered to read these posts, you would have seen that most people acknowledge that bullying exists in AAP.

Why yes! Always steer clear of the unwashed masses in steerage.
