Another thank you! Found you when we moved to MD when my twins were 6. They will be 21 this summer. We have left the area but I can’t leave DCUM .

I would love this! I discovered DCUM when my kids were 8, 11 and 14. Over the years, DCUM has provided much-needed advice, humor, and just normalizing. Now, my kids are young adults (youngest is a rising college senior). They are independent, strong people who are on their way to many adventures. I'm thrilled to see them fly and I'm happy to move on from my child-rearing years, but I still want to have good relationships with my kids. I'd really love to have the wisdom of DCUM to help me with that as it has for many years -- by providing advice, humor and just normalizing the experience.

I've been with you since my kids were in elementary. Time flies! So, since "once a mom or dad, always a mom or dad," it would be nice to discuss issues related to adult kids. The Teens and Tweens forum doesn't work, and there are so many issues that are not related to the college forum (which is mostly about college admissions)

I have been thinking that such a forum would be a good addition. The one problem is that I normally only like to create new forums when there are a bunch of existing threads that can be moved into it. I don't know that we have a lot of those now. So, this forum might have to be started without any threads and I'll need help from you folks to identify threads that can be moved into it.

I have been seeing a few threads of this sort pop up in the College forum and I have been moving them to family relationships. But I assume they then get lost in the mountains of "MIL" threads.

So, I'll see if I can find the time this weekend to add this forum.

There used to be tons of those types of threads before you made the 50+ Forum the Elder Care forum. I’d love to see the old 50+ Forum come back in any form (including Parents of Adult Children, if it needs to be limited as such).

I would really benefit from this. I was wondering where to post about adult kids, too. No other forum seems right.
