I buy 5 suits on clearance the summer before so we can have a fresh one for each day of camp. Weekdays are busy enough without having to worry about cleaning swimwear. I wash and hang dry and can usually sell them all for a decent buck on FB marketplace when they're outgrown.

Surprised by all the gentle care for kids swimsuits. I wash them in the machine on hot and then toss them in the dryer. I’ve done this for years. It’s fine.

I wash my own suits on delicate and hang to dry though…

Absolutely wash in the washing machine after every wear

This. Camp is dirty. Lakes are filled with bacteria, so are pools. They need to get washed daily. But two if you won’t do it same day.

My kids only wear a bathing suit for 1, maybe 2 summers. I wash with normal clothes as needed. I sometimes try to pull it out before the dryer to hang dry, but sometimes I forget and we’ve all survived.

I throw swimsuits and rash guards in the washer but they are pretty much junk by the end of the summer. I'm sure they would last longer if I hand washed them, but I figure they will grow out of them by next year anyway, so I don't worry about it.

We wash them after each wear. We usually do 2 sets or 3 if I find a good deal.

I can't handle the little boy funk smell after they've been sweating all day.

I rinse swim stuff, including towels in the Rinse cycle of the washing machine. If I’ve or DH have been to the pool, I’ll do it every night. If it’s just DS and camp, I’ll do it every 2-3 days. Then hang everything, including towels to dry.
Then once a week, I’ll wash everything with laundry detergent. And hang swimsuits, but put towels through the dryer.

I'm with you my kids each have 5 bathing suits. The girls all wear 3 piece suits that come with shorts and a tank. I also get a bunch of hand me rashguards and suits.

I hand wash nothing, including swim suits.

I mean...these are suits from Lands End and Target. Gentle wash with a bit of soap, and throw them in the dryer. They last through several kids. Buy enough to get you through the week if you wash weekly now.

I buy a huge amount of separates from lands end on sale every spring so I don’t have to worry about this daily.

I hand wash daily and then run them through the washing machine (not dryer) once a week.
