That was in 1996 (26 and 25 him). We were married in 1998. It's been a whirlwind.

I've had so many of these nights. We'll meet at 5 pm, hang out until 3 am, strangers ask us how long we've been married, etc. And then we never see each other again.

I knew after the first date that there was potential but I am a slow burner so wasn't really thinking about marriage until he told me he loved me, around three months in. I knew it felt right then. He then got cold feet about marriage a year or so in, but came around on his own and we got married just under 3 years after we met. Going on 10 years and two kids now and it has been smooth sailing. He is an amazing husband and dad.

Met young, immediately started dating. Engaged in 6 months from meeting, got married 3 months after that. Happily married 10+ yrs with multiple kiddos.

There are alternatives to the DC-approach to life (ie, delaying marriage and kids and just focusing on finding yourself and your career). Id rather find myself with my best friend (my spouse) than do it alone.

We’d been friends for two years before we got together and once we did I was pretty sure early on. It took him a few months longer but that wasn’t a surprise. We’ve been married a very long time so it’s worked out quite nicely.

Pretty quickly. We basically moved in together after a week. Officially after seven months. Married at just over a year. When it’s right it’s right!

I think we first talked about marriage after a month, but we were 19 so we waited a bit. Still married a couple decades later, though.

Then we got divorced. We've been good friends ever since.

It was a good marriage. Divorce has been great too.

I knew immediately he was very special. We both knew within a month we’d marry each other.
