And what are they doing in class? Watching movies. These are AP classes. Why are we potentially exposing kids to COVID to watch movies? This is stupid

I'm not surprised so many teachers are quitting![]()
It sounds like the teachers have lost control. I wouldn't blame children.
Yes yes definitely blame the teachers, not your precious snowflake who is sassy and talking back. What can the repercussions be? Take away recess? Oh no--they must not have their play time removed. Lower their grade? Can't do that, parents complain when their kid who barely did homework doesn't get an A. Take away their phones?? Personal property!!! Yeah it's not the teacher's fault; they are trying SO hard.

I work in a school. That's how I know the behaviors are bad--I see it first hand. I work with different grades and it's bad all around.
In my opinion--parents care more about being friends with their kids than disciplining. Students don't respect adults anymore.
yup.

And the teachers think that this is a fatal flaw of the students - that they act out near summer vacation and don't respect the status quo?
Wow. You're right. A real revelation here.
And what's your point? Why are you so defensive?
Not defensive. Just pointing out a tried and true phenomenon that happens around this time of year EVERY YEAR. Pre-pandemic, 1980s 1950s, it just is what happens at the end of the school year.
The sarcasm was used to point out how ridiculous these school worker posters are.
Hey, no sh!t, kids want to be out of school on June 15! That's why movies and class parties were created.
This year is different, it's way worse than it has been.
