OP I bought a Tucson at MSRP from Fitzgerald. No mark-up. They call then in transit and had lots of models. One in Gaithersburg MD. They gave me like 8 Tucson’s and four Sante Fes to pick from. Just have to wait two weeks

Also in Chantilly VA the Chevy dealer does zero mark ups. Looked at new trailblazer and equinox. Trailblazer a bit small for me but great mpg.

I was down to Equinox vs Tucson and took the Tucson as more choices

OP key was the driver clipped the front headlight with the rear bumper on way over cutting in front then slammed on brakes.

So technically she hit my car first.

She had balls to claim on my insurance company. Buy looking at my front their was a sideways gash in grill and sideways gas her bumper mixed in with my totaled car.

Good to hear this. I hate how some people thing that every time there is a rear end collision it's the fault of the driver who did the rear ending.

Two completely different stories. Turns out in an at fault state the other driver has to be 100 percent fault in order to have to pay out in other vehicle. So best case we pay out own vehicles.

Lucky I had collision coverage. She is claiming we caused accident. Obvious did not see at all and she shifted Lanes

I'm so sorry. My husband totaled our car by reversing into a post in a parking garage a few years ago. Must have hit it at exactly the wrong spot . . .

The fact that it was our fault didn't come into play when it came to paying us for the car. After receiving the insurance company's payout offer, we responded with comps - and they went up a bit.

Also, IIRC, if we replaced the car within a certain number of days, insurance also covered some of the fees.
