It’s Ramsay Hunt syndrome, as he said. Often misdiagnosed because it present similarly to Bells Palsey. My cousin had it 10 years ago, at age 40.

It sounds like they googled non suspicious causes of facial paralysis to tell the media about. He has no reason to tell us about the details of his medical conditions. You have to admit it’s strange they both have neurological crises in a year
No, I don’t think it’s strange given they’ve had COVID recently.
Shingles; stroke. After covid. Most likely due to covid - these are both very common covid sequelae. Period.

Yeah I agree it sounds like they did their research to come up with something vaguely plausible.

Lots of people have had covid lately...no facial paralysis whether shingles or not.

Did someone she lived with become paralyzed weeks later? No? Then irrelevant.
