SOME of their products are a ripoff. (The giant tub of perfect chocolate chip cookies.) Most of their stuff is fairly priced and very high-quality.
I bought the tub without looking at the price. Yikes! But they were excellent. I put them in a different container so we could forget about the price and just enjoy. I will buy them again for special occasions when I do not have time to bake.
Ha! I'll have to try that next time.
+1 on the cookie tubs. Giant's tub is $4 - with teenagers that is clearly the way to go! So funny that so many different posters are outraged at the cookie tub price!

I ran into a Food Lion for convenience (nothing against FL, I just don't live near one) on the way home from DC's practice and the produce I picked up lasted far longer (and cost far less) than the Wegmans produce.

Likewise, if your budget is lower and you need canned goods, basic produce, frozen veggies, bulk meat, Wegmans brand items, etc., you’ll also be satisfied. Obviously the fresh, in-store made stuff costs more, but 9 times out of 10, you can count on the quality being top-notch.

I have never seen that. You can get a regular box of fresh chocolate chip cookies for either 4.50, or 6.50 for the larger one.

Having said that, if youre going to a food bar Wegmans tastes the best and great variety.
Grocery shopping there is fine as long as you stick with the housebrands. Their bakery, meat, and produce are way over priced
Agree that the housebrands are reasonably priced. Almost everything else is overpriced. We started doing grocery pickup at Wegmans during the pandemic, and with the markup for Instacart, our grocery bills were insane. I have switched to Safeway / Giant with Whole Foods mixed in for meat and some other specialty items.
