Raw score of 373……..his used to retakes because he’s allowed to retakes test when he doesn’t get above 80%..

Wait they retake any test below an 80%? So it’s better to get 79% than 81%?

No. Kids with IEPs sometimes have an expanded retake option, which allows them a retake at 375 instead of 390 (the typical retake threshold). OP’s son must have that but he also missed the expanded retake cutoff so there’s nothing anyone at her school can do.

Not in HS and MS. Students and parents are told within days and the official letter is mailed in the summer.

Huh. That hasn’t been the case with my APS 7th grader. We didn’t hear until much later last summer & haven’t heard about the one he’s taken so far this year. It must be only if they are within the retake range.

No. Absolutely nobody in the school has the ability to decide that, it is set by the state. Clearly he had expanded retake if you said he missed it by 2 and the 2 was a 373 and not a 398 but, he missed it. No retake. And guess what… it’ll be ok

It depends on the school system. In some, they only alerted you early If you don’t pass.
