Thank you for providing honest facts. It's sad that so many of the right-wing extremists are allergic to this.

So what? It’s called life. Sh!t happens. I’m not hiding anymore.

No one cares what you are doing. The discussion is about spread in MCPS.

The discussion is about how kids are doing with Covid. The answer being that it's a big non-event.

You are not a child and the discussion is in the MCPS forum.

The people describing their kids' experiences suggests that by and large it is a non-event.

Probably would have stayed home 3 days in "the before times." Continuing to test positive though, so home for the week.

Similar experience with my 16-year-old, except that he also had diarrhea and felt unwell for about 4 days. He was also very tired for the next week to week and a half after he returned to school.

One kid coughed for a day. Another had to blow their nose for a couple days.

My kids did ok and it was mild. However, my friend had a very different experience including a child who was hospitalized for several days of respiratory distress.

So, we need kids to die in MCPS for you to take it seriously?

The issue isn't just the kids getting covid, but also the parents and other family members. A child getting sick doesn't just impact that child but the entire family.

PP, you know what else may be linked to severe hepatitis in children? A weakened immune system from hunkering down in fear of covid for the past 2 years.

OP - my kids were both fine. My infant (8weeks) had covid in Jan 2021 - 3 days of runny nose and then totally fine and healthy and hasn't had it again. My preschooler had omicron in Jan 2022 and was tired for a day.
