While I never co-slept, I did read many books that promoted co-sleeping, and all had huge warnings not to sleep with babies on couches or put yourself in a position where you might fall asleep on the couch. They can very easily roll into the cushions and suffocate, it’s WAY more dangerous than co-sleeping in a bed.

If you can’t provide 100% focused supervision and stay awake, it’s best to avoid the couch. I accidentally fell asleep with my newborn on the couch once when I was positive I could stay awake, so I just avoid it now. When you’re sleep deprived and get comfortable, it’s easy to drift off.

Yes because I have a nanny and work from home.

You do know there are many parents working beyond traditional hours, and it isn’t a WFH w/o childcare situation necessarily. Employers are the ones taking advantage, more likely. Work at 10 pm, work all weekend…we’ll beyond the 40 hours in an office.
