I am 71 and I’ve had Covid, but not too bad a case. Over the last several months, I’ve noticed that I skip entire words when I make a post for the internet. It’s really disturbing.

I totally agree!

or is it predictive text trying to figure out what we are saying and messing us up instead? There is some answer but, old age is not it.

I am post-menopausal and I am doing it too so what's my issue. LoL.

It could be perimenopause, but I don’t feel like I have brain fog overall. Thanks for letting me know others have experience this too.

You might have had covid. I just got my annual blood work done and found I have very high covid antibodies. 25000. I didn't get vaxxed this year!

Anyway, just adding to this is part of age most likely. All you can do is recognize this and attack it. Proof read or have ChatGBT proof it (or bard/whateveritscallednow, or another AI bot).

Same. I attribute it to general brain rot due to tech.

All of this. And typing on our phones.

I've noticed dysgraphia appears to get worse as you get older and when you’re feeling stressed

I have the same issue which seems to come and go over time

I am in 50 and I've notice it seems to occurs as I get older

apparently, this is symptom of this dysgraphia which often occurs with ADHD

I use Grammarly to help
Or you might want to consider low dose adhd medication

I hate the autoanticipate/correct. If it would do it right away, fine. But randomly after I've proofread it when I hit send? How? Why?

ADHD + Long Covid + over 40 + updated autoanticpate/correct = all this.

I have noticed that I skip words when I type on my phone and when I type emails. I don’t always catch it in time. In fact, I miss correcting it a lot until after I send whatever I typed. I have noticed this happening since I had Covid in the fall of 2020. It might be a coincidence, but it freaks me out to have it happen so often. I am 63.

I do this too. I'm almost 50 and it started a few years ago. I was an English major in college and when I was younger this was never a problem. In general, I feel like I don't write, speak or think as well as I used to. I really hope these are perimenopausal issues that will eventually pass. My anxiety has also gotten worse.

This doesn’t seem like a huge deal to me.

I think there’s some muscle memory involved, as well as autocorrect. I know what I want to say, and my thoughts move more quickly than my fingers. If it’s anything other than a chat, I go back and read over.
