There are lemon laws at dealers and usually at least a 90 day warranty. They also disclose accidents. Or it could be stolen.

Buying direct is more risk buyer so he wants a discount which is why KBB had a separate private party transaction price

Many many years ago our buddy bought a mint camaro out of ad in paper. He checked vin on dashboard and door.

Around three later dope parked at bus stop to run into store and car towed.

Police checked engine block and frame vin that are hidden and different car. Police said two choices come to police station to claim car and be arrested possession of stolen property or not.

He did get a good deal!!

Dealers don’t offer extended warranties. They sell them!

I bought a dealer used Mazda and I got the exiting warrantee which had no expired and then an additional 3 years from Mazda. Included in price.

I’m sure the price you paid included the extended warranty. One born everyday.

Good idea! Especially because I live in a high end area. The car is in the 40ishK price point. My husband said that is why I’m not having luck because most people need financing in that price range.

Oh yes, I agree w/your husband on this.

Most people cannot afford to pay ca$h on a car worth $40G.

Especially a used car from a random. Try algo. https://algonation.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItYCC5qvX9wIVRcDICh1ROgAIEAAYASAAEgKLlPD_BwE

They give you a quote over zoom. I sold to them for more than Carmax would give.

Sorry. “Forget” Carmax.
