Except in noisy restaurants when I find myself doing the smile and nod thing because I can’t hear conversation well at all. That’s one plus of the pandemic, so many fewer times I’ve been in a crowded restaurant.
My concern about hearing aids is how they feel in your ears. I can only wear air pods for about an hour before they annoy too much.
I had the same issue about ten years ago when I tried a hearing aid and it was too annoying to wear. My current hearing aid is very light and unobtrusive. I don't even notice it once it's in.
PP what kind do you have now? My mom has the same complaint about her older hearing aids and doesn't believe new ones would be better.

What?
