Because we had sex in the past when we were seeing each other before COVID. We saw each other once last year (14 months ago). It had been a long time—he was going to ask if I had been with anyone else since. Well, duh, it has been 14 months.

Why what? Why do I like hearing about my wife's past? Partly because it gives me insights into her thoughts and feelings about relationships. Partly because it is hot and sort of voyeuristic but with her consent. And partly because we both love to think and talk about why romantic relationships of all kinds are important. I don't know. She loves to hear about my past too.

I am not sure what the h this is supposed to mean. Has nothing to do with parenting. I do not appreciate the insinuation. Human relationships are complicated and not black and white nor are they the same for everyone. I am simply asking if my viewpoint that most people do not ask such questions is weird or not.
However you want to justify it. You may be a match with the guy if you conclude that he is weird.
