We left an entire plastic bag of laundry hanging behind the bathroom door. I did not even realize it until like a month later when I couldn't find a particular shirt. I called the hotel and they pointed me towards this website they use for lost and found. I cannot remember it but it had a crazy name like "I left it in my hotel room .com or something like that. I filled out an online form with the dates of may stay, hotel room number (if you remember it) and what specifically was left. I also had to pay a shipping fee. Sure enough, a box with the entire contents of the bag arrived about a week later. I have no idea how this would have gone down had it been something valuable like an Apple Watch or something.

I've left a few things at different hotels, ranging from a belt to a drawer full of clothes. If you call them as soon as possible, they will usually ship them to you. If they charge for it, fine, I'm the one that made the mistake, right?

I called about it, they checked in the lost and found and asked me to describe it. (his name, same last name as mine was in there).

Then they said they would ship it to me and took my credit card info. I later saw the charge on my account---$20!! $20 to ship me a book! That was more than the cost of the journal. There is no way, it actually cost $20 to ship it,
add in the cost of the employee’s time to the shipping cost and you will get closer

They will not call you but they should leave things aside.

I left my electric toothbrush at a hotel a few months ago. I figured they just tossed it but then we thought we left my son's airpods there (they were really just misplaced at home) too so I called. They had the toothbrush set aside in a bag labeled with our room number and the date it was found. This wasn't a high end place, I think it was just a Hampton inn.

They use a service to mail it mail. I forget what we paid but it was under $10.

I’m really appreciating a hotel that I stayed in NYC. We left power cords. They called me and left them at the front desk for me to pick up.
