I have an August born in August. I don’t think I could have used the name in any other month

I wanted to name a baby with a tax day due date April (I unfortunately miscarried), so I see no issue with a June born in June

I think it’s a perfect name for a baby born in June!

I love the name june so I think it’s a great name whether or not the baby is actually born that month.

I think it's adorable whether or not she's born in June. And if she is, that's sweet. I don't think it will be this thing that constantly comes up in her life. We tend to overstate these things on this board.

Or kids will surprisingly like a name that everyone else thinks is weird; I have a friend named Ulysses who loves it, while I can’t believe a mom saddled her kid with that. Use the name you like, because you can’t predict what your kid will think or what they will consider a hassle.

Ok, bad person.

I kind of agree. PP says they don't know most people's birthdays, but the flipside of that is if you have a month name, people's first question will be whether you were born that month.

If it is a family name I'd use it and ignore the coincidence. But if it's just a name you like, I'd try to name her Juniper or Jane or something and not give her what feels like an inside joke as a name.

Yeah, I remember in high school people asked my classmate August if he was born in August. It turns out that was the month he was conceived. Very awkward.

June was my top girls name (after my grandmother) but when we found out we were due in June, it felt too hokey. Turned out it didn’t matter because we had a boy.

I have a June named after her great-grandmother (and, yes,pp, it was a hick name) but not born in June. People do ask, but it's not a big deal.

OP here it's not a family name but has family significance, which Jane and Juniper don't (also just not a fan of Juniper). I agree people could ask when her birthday is when they hear her name...wondering how big a deal it is? But I also just love it and am having a hard time finding anything I like more.

Most people she meets will ask, since her name is June.

I think this is true. Might get old.
