US News is notorious for skewing the data on college listings, whereas certain other rankings by international consortiums of scientists with more rigorous, unbiased data, have much more accurate listings of same. There have been multiple serious publications over the years, discussing the bias of US News, as well as the interesting methods employed by colleges who wish to go up in those rankings.
Now for K-12 rankings, I do not know if US News is more or less accurate than other domestic institutions.
Not accurate. A few years ago, there was the scandal where they messed up several MCPS schools data, i.e. Churchill, Poolesville.

New to me at least was a ranking of MD magnet programs with Poolesville snagging the top spot with Blair’s program only taking 4th out of the regional programs, I wonder if the CAP program watered down Blair’s results?

This is a joke. Their top schools are always in the area with the fewest poor people. It tells us next to nothing about the schools.

Only elementary CES was lottery base.

that just proved that the ranking is not very meaningful.

You must be a Blair parent. Strange how no one outside the DCC seems to share the high regard for the school as the PTA does. I’m glad they’re happy
Not true. Seems like a data-gathering issue as it was the first year.
