Scrambled eggs and toast with jam is my easy dinner in a hurry go-to.

Oatmeal. Warm and filling. I add peanut butter to mine for some protein.

We also do “charcuterie”-pepperoni, salami, cheese, nuts, fruits and vegetables, crackers or bread.

This is like my every day dinner mode, with two tweens and a husband. We are low maintenance and I hate planning. I also semi hate cooking but the only thing that makes it semi fun is the challenge of panty or freezer ingredient meals. I love semi homemade cooking, today I made veggie chili out of half a can of pasta sauce, veggie burgers a can of beans, garlic, onions. Chili seasoning. Bam! Cheese and sour cream if you’re nasty.

More basic is Campbell’s tomato soup with grill cheese sandwiches. Or for a twist, cook egg noodles separately and add to the soup. I always add a touch of milk.

Omelette — either plain cheese or Mexican style. Serve with toast.

Frozen chicken patties with shredded mozzarella and jarred sauce on top with parm.

When everyone’s had a bad day, French toast.

Peanut butter noodles with chopped uncooked veggies on top.

Dal rice, frozen veg stir fry. Yogurt on the side.

Uber eats, breakfast for dinner or spaghetti.

A jar of Rao's spaghetti sauce and angel hair pasta. Bagged salad with jarred dressing. Dinner in 10 minutes. Hope your tomorrow goes better!!

Kraft mac & cheese, and a bag of baby carrots.

We keep a can of baked beans in the back of the pantry. On nights like these, we do baked potatoes or sweet potatoes with baked beans and shredded cheese, sometimes some olives or capers, pickled jalapenos, maybe some smoked fish, random things we happen to have on hand. Kids like it. Adults tolerate. Easy.

Just the post I needed today - didn't do grocery run this weekend, its almost 5:30 and I don't know what dinner is going to be. I feel I'm not alone

Waffle-eggy-sausage-cheesy-sandwiches is our go to for crazy nights. Plenty of protein, the constituent parts last forever in the freezer/fridge and everyone from ten and up can assemble it if needed.

Nachos/tacos/quesadillas, breakfast for dinner, pizza, do a bag of salad for you and cut up carrots or cucumbers or whatever for the kids.
