For all the chatter on this house, it’s still available. Anyone know why it’s sitting? (Any truth to the murder theory?)

I saw it and casually thought about going to take a look. I hate Maple avenue and prefer living closer to the beltway anyway, but like some others said, I assume there must be a major problem lurking beneath the surface of the house - water damage, cracking foundation, or some other unknown huge problems. Price it low enough to get people to waive inspection and peace out

It seems like pricing so much under market could backfire in that your target buyers don’t even pick up the listing ina search or just dismiss anything at that price point as having problems. Add in a lack of photos and I could this house leaving $100-200k on the table vice being properly priced and shown to begin with,

Can you link? I am googling like crazy because we are planning to bid.

Why do people tell people they’re planning to bid here? You’re just drumming up competition.

This place has 10+ offers already

+1000. What does it matter at this point? Seriously. Everything has 10+ offers and this is priced for a bidding war.

The murder was in 2018. But as Trevor Noah says, you are safer in a house which witnessed a murder, what are the chances that it will happen again

Anonymous wrote:Saw it today. Owner is the listing agent. Very unprofessional showing practices, as they allowed multiple showings at the same times, which meant it had the feel and traffic of an open house, but nobody was in charge. Just loads of people milling around inside and out. The house itself is gorgeous and the location is phenomenal. The only odd thing is that the basement was completely unfinished, and we saw some black/fuzzy/suspicious (mold?) on the inside perimeter + quite a bit of water marking on the walk up stairs. Didn’t smell damp though. It’s a nice house.

This is part of building the bidding war atmosphere - makes anxious buyers feels more anxious.

Part of me wants that. I don't like the gimmick.

Underpricing for bidding wars. It's a way to get attention. We all know it's going to sell around 1.4

I'd say at least 1.6

Hi seller.

Hey loser!
