My son is at a HS not giving exams on May 2, but we arranged with the test advisor to be at school to take the exam on May 2 due to a conflict on the May 20 make-up date. I believe PP is correct that students who take those exams on the make-up date then have no additional make-up date. Very few students by % celebrate EID. It was short-sighted on the part of MCPS to cancel May 2 exams for those not celebrating. It was also short-sighted to have individual high schools make their own decisions about testing because the inconsistency is very confusing.

I don't know how decisions on May 2 AP testing are being made. Is it by local high schools? Is it by central office? It's unfortunate that a better communication approach hasn't been coordinated.

At our HS, the AP gov test was moved from May 2 to later in May. Though I wonder when the makeups will take place?
No makeups if you take it on the later date. That IS the official AP makeup date
That’s insane. Our hs has hundreds of kids sitting for this exam. What if they’re sick? They’ve studied all year for it. If that’s the policy, they should have arranged for the test to go as planned on May 2.
We were told that nobody would be available to open and staff the school in order for kids to sit the test. Guess you can’t require someone to work on a day off. They also mentioned the issue of transportation, because some kids might not have a way to get to the test if buses aren’t running that day.
They did say if you had some reason you wouldn’t be able to take it on the makeup day, they would arrange for you to take it on the 2nd with the rest of the country. But I’m not sure what those arrangements would be (send you to a site in another school system?), or whether “I might be sick on the makeup date” would be considered a valid reason.
Which school? It’s a teacher work day.
Churchill mentioned above; Springbrook; RM
Someone said Churchill will be on May 2. Same for other two named? WJ is May 20.

That’s crazy. Just another example of how MCPS ignores what is best for its students.
What do you want the county to do? It is a major religious holiday
