The rolling duffel is for overnight camp, but yes, they will be using it to haul ski clothes and eventually loading stuff into a college dorm. If they truly care, I’m sure they can cover it.

Not an issue. The monogram thing is very niche, and not worth not using a name you like.

My bestie growing up had KFC it was funny but not in any way a big deal.

Go with the name you love, you don't have to monogram a thing. I can't remember the last time my middle initial was relevant to anything.

Most people barely use their middle initials. I have absolutely no idea what most of my friends' middle names are. I wouldn't hesitate to use this name combo.

I would hesitate based on this, I could see a lot of teasing. Could you do something different for honoring the relative with the middle name? Some other spinoff of their name that starts with a different letter?

I didn't consider the monogram in the middle. Then my mom bought my daughter an charm bracelet that said APE. We had a good laugh. Since then I don't think we've really used full initials on anything.

I wouldn't do it. I think there would be a lot of teasing.
