My beliefs on what, facts? That the country as whole is becoming more acceptant of LGBTQ+ community? That a lot of Catholic schools aren’t always accepting of same sex parents? That there is history with a blind eye of rampant sexual abuse in the church and including its schools?

You really don’t think that there is not a large swath of people who would reject these views and not send their kids to these schools because they would feel like by supporting they are condoning?

This is the correct answer. Fewer applications than during the pandemic (when many families were looking for any school that wasn’t a public school) doesn’t mean that people are fleeing Catholic schools. Waiting lists still exist at many area Catholic k-8s, and I have heard they remain up over 2019 admissions.

More applications than ever at Maryland catholic k-8. Maybe our public school system is just that bad but no slowing down.

We put our name on the wait list at St Agnes in Arlington in the fall and never got in. We also applied to St Anselm's Abbey, which informed parents back in January that they had received a record number of applications.

The correct word is fewer.

Completely expected. Some families that moved during on line learning might stay but new families that would not other wise consider private are back at public.
