I just saw a tweet about principal selection panel for Ida B Wells. Any idea why the principal there is leaving?

What are they burnt out for? Not used to working? They closed schools for a year and a half! Too bad they are tired of the behavior and loss of learning they caused. They shouldn’t be done in a June, that’s for sure. We should get more school this year to help

You sound very bitter, it's been 9 months to a year and a half...get over it. Attitudes like this is why we cannot find good admin, no one wants to have the stress of managing a school and dealing with crazies too.

I understand that Seaton is losing both their Principal and Assistant Principal.

Is it true that Seaton is losing both their principal and asst principal? Can anyone who goes to the school confirm this and explain why this is happening?

Everyone is burnt out. And we certainly don’t need more school this year. We would be happy with 170-175 days instead of 180. You have options if you want your kids to get more instruction this summer. Have you signed up for summer school?

What schools were closed for a year and a half? Do you mean virtual? My kids teachers were online almost all day. Sorry you had a bad experience.

You either don’t have any kids in school, or you have attended a single school meeting since 2020. You are a disgrace as a parent to be this ignorant. Get off DCUM and get involved in your kid’s school for the first time in your life.

This just rubs salt into the wound. It’s attitudes like yours that contribute to the burn out. Keep it up and let us know how things are going when your kids’ school scrambles to fill teacher positions for next year.

Yes. Tons of burnout, tons of retirements or career changes.
