I'd be concerned about high cholesterol. People who love oil and salt in my experience end up with very high cholesterol, but it could be just my friends...

I mean a handfu of chips isn’t going to make or break you. If you were eating a bag of chips I might suggest something else, but… eat the chips.

Although there is a world of crunchy salty snacks out there. Popcorn. Peanuts. Almonds. Air fried stuff, probably (don’t know, don’t have an air fryer).

I switched chips out for dill pickles successfully. I was trying to lose weight though, so it was for a goal.

Eat the chips or you will crave them and end up eating substitutes that don’t satisfy. Recommend the Lays Honey Habanero kettle chips if you like a little spicy and sweet crunch.

Low cal popcorn?
Or the chips!

I just had a handful of chips for lunch with my sandwich.

I will now start a 12-step program.

There is no reason to replace the chips.

I need something in the evenings, too. I typically fall asleep after 1 am. I am at a good weight and see no reason to go to bed feeling hungry or unsatisfied. Why needlessly punish yourself by removing something you enjoy?

As long as it's budgeted in, who cares? Like other posters, I leave space for wine or dessert. If you can stick to a system where you make these little tradeoffs and calculations, your diet or lifestyle or whatever will be a million times more sustainable. You won't end up miserable like the poster who thinks everyone who has snacks is fat. She's clearly hungry and unfulfilled from eating only kale and chicken breast. Drink the wine. Eat the chips.

Have you tried snacklins or quest protein chips?

DP. I eat chips and I’m not overweight in the least. It’s not a bad habit if your overall diet is healthy. It’s intentional.

I think it's fine, but if it's really bothering you, try crunchy pickles instead.

Same.

I also eat very minimally during the week so I can have fun on weekends.

If it all balances out for you, who cares?
