Black politicians in PG do not talk about defunding the police while making excuses for criminals on Twitter such as claiming people jack cars because it's cold outside. That's a white, progressive act in DC, MC, and Nova.


+1 Well said. As a longtime PG resident, there is a widely held view that we need police to prevent crime waves during the early 2000s without them killing our young boys and girls.

+1. Regular POC here. We do not want to defund the police and I cringe and correct folks every time hear it. I want fully funded and well-trained officers. I also want trained SROs in schools.

Homicides aren't the only type of crime.


Violent crime is up while non violent crime is down. Only about 40% of all crimes, violent ones included, even get reported. Homicides, however, always get reported because there is a dead body. So it's a good way to more accurately measure what's going on.
