No honors or merit at UMD.
We'll be visiting Gettysburg in the coming week, but does anyone have any opinions here? Is there a difference in prestige/career placement/etc?
What a crazy question OP. Gettysburg vs UMCP?? Seriously?
I agree. One in a beautiful historic town, next to a significant piece of history. The other a monstrous institution next to Berwyn Heights and Hyattsville. Visit both and see…I assume that Gettysburg would feel a bit more like “going away to college” but still won’t be that far.
How about worrying more about the education and price. At least that’s what more kids should be worrying about.

Chasing reputation is a fool’s errand. The decision is about where to get the kind of education that the student can best take advantage of.
That’s really dumb. Reputation matters a lot when it’s time to find an internship, job, or whatnot.
