Here's the school outbreak data from the state: as of Wednesday, they had 14 reported cases, and I think that data probably lags a bit. That's a lot of cases and therefore close contacts. https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/pages/school-resources

It is my understanding that schools don’t need to entirely shut down but they ask those who have been exposed to quarantine. Usually it’s by class or classrooms

Lourdes in Bethesda closed for an outbreak a few months ago. Prep closed at the beginning of Omicron.

There is no case threshold for closing schools. LF claimed that state ordered them to close. Not likely.

From a management perspective, they need to exit some families so that they can enroll a better culture. A massive amount of turnover in pre-k and k would serve the school well long term.
