That was not my experience. I had repeated failed transfers. My RE recommended that we move to using a GC and that was that. I certainly didn’t have to provide my medical records to my surrogate’s OB. What would be the point of that?
There is none. PP’s doctor may have had some odd preference, but it’s not universal.

God people on here are so annoying. I’m literally an intended mother with a surrogate who is currently pregnant. I’ve been through the process. What exactly is “false”?
You do not need a medical reason to use a surrogate. YOU may have had one, but there is no law or requirement that a woman have a “valid medical reason” to use a surrogate.

I don't really get keeping on trying at this point. I wonder if it's because your DH wants a boy and doesn't have one yet?

I personally don't think I could do surrogate, even if it was to get a one and only child.

Wait, really? I didn’t know this. How are all these celebrities using surrogates with no medical reason? I just assumed if you had the money and a willing surrogate, you were free to go.


I’m sure there are doctors that will be happy to take your money and sign off on this.

But clearly there is something wrong with your reproductive system. Unexplained doesn't mean "nothing wrong with", it means "science hasn't advanced to the point that we understand this".


This. Unexplained infertility is a medical diagnosis.


Maybe but it doesn’t mean she can’t carry a pregnancy - just that she can’t get pregnant. Probably because a very high percentage of her eggs would not make a euploid embryo.
