I do think the bare trend will cycle out pretty soon, if it hasn't already.
When i was in 6th grade, i distinctly remember my school library had a subscription to Teen Magazine and had a Q&A article where someone said their BF had requested they shave it off, and the magazine advised they immediately break up because their BF was potentially a pedophile. Times change.....
