He had the entire apartment building rigged with cameras. These people he had videos of didn’t even know him.
The article says "unauthorized videotaping of women having sex in apartments he leased." Which is just a strange way of putting it. Was he only videotaping women? Were all of the women lesbians? Or was the only the videotaping of the women unauthorized, the men involved had given permission? Or was the reporter being imprecise, and a better phrasing may have been "unauthorized videotaping of people having sex in apartments he leased to women" ?
From DOJ: “He provided another employee with a rent-free penthouse apartment for approximately one year, worth approximately $40,200. He provided a third employee with a rent-free apartment for approximately one year, worth an estimated $48,240…” plus other instances mentioning multiple apartments in three different complexes.

Go back to the original articles. One of the weirder things in this story was that the building had leased these two guys multiple apartments that they weren’t living in and had offered to other people.

This is ridiculous. They just gave a young guy from DC twenty-five years for stealing unlocked cars in Chevy Chase and this wacko gets 37 months??

I think this story is just starting to blow up. It's fascinating. I would also like to see some articles on the US Postal Service Police because they are the ones who caught them. One article I just finished said neighbors had called DC police and Homeland Security to report them and nothing happened. It was only when the Postal Service Police became involved that anything happened.
For some reason postal inspectors seem to be a combination of no-nonsense and insanely competent in every story that I ever read about them.
That’s because your mail is still not being stolen, your carriers are not being held up, and you’re not getting checks altered. The USPS has become unusable.
