+1 Pyle
Pyle has a much lower percentage of high achieving students than almost any other MS according to the county . Frost is much better.
Although advanced English at TPMS is much easier than CES. DC has written multiple papers in excess of 2k words and reads a book almost every month. Yes I wish it were better but it's far from bad
This is really tiring. It's not true. Do your math. It's just simple division. Remember that skill? The schools with low percentages are White Oak, Westland and a few others.
Your bragging about Frost is getting really painful especially about how great the math team is. Please give it a rest. I'm sorry your child did not get in to the magnet but please don't torture us with your trying to put down others because your child did not get the opportunity.
Yes Pyle had like 60 advanced kids out of 1500 and Frost had 70 out of 1100. It's pretty simple math.

I'm sympathetic to the trend toward heterogenous classrooms in ES for the sake of equity, but by middle school kids have either taken advantage of the opportunities MCPS has provided or they have not.
Chuckles and gathers popcorn to wait and see who these parents are going to be. Especially when different schools already do different things in English regardless of class name.
