My parents are Chinese immigrants and I grew up in a house that was the single number 4. We had no problems living there all of my childhood. They subsequently sold the house to another Chinese family. No one ever commented on the significance of the house number. I have heard that a street or walkway leading straight to the front door is bad feng shui. I’m not superstitious, but I do avoid houses like this from an aesthetic, practical point of view.
