I think it’s one of those status symbol baby items. I got it used and it’s great, but I still think my kid would have liked any bouncer.

My baby didn’t even like it. She would look at me like, “What am I supposed to be doing in this thing?” I have no idea why it’s so popular. It’s just a bouncer.

Like a lot of other posters, I had a Fisher Price one for my first and it was fine but we didn’t really use it a ton. I happened to get a secondhand hand Baby Bjorn one for free for my second, and it was SO much better somehow. DC2 always seemed really happy in that thing so that we used it a ton more than we ever used the fisher price one. It was a lifesaver for me to have him plopped in a comfy spot where he was happy when I needed to be fixing dinner or dealing with older DC. Since this is your third, I don’t know if I’d spent the money to buy it new, but if you get it through a friend or Buy Nothing, it’s worth it.

I didn’t have any bouncer for my first and got a baby bjorn off a buy nothing group for my second when he had gas and I wanted to see if it helped. I use it rarely and probably wouldn’t spend more than $10-15 on one, myself. I prefer letting my babies chill on the carpet and they seem to like it better too. But if you get it for free, the fact that it’s light and easy to store is definitely a plus!

It’s so so so helpful to have when making meals, playing with our older kiddo, etc - he can stay in the bouncer for easily an hour and be so happy. I don’t know what it is, but it’s magic for us.

Same for me. I had a Fisher Price one that my first kid loved. Got a Baby Bjorn from a friend and my second baby loved it so much more than the FP one. It must just be more comfortable. That being said, the FP one is solid and I don't think the Bjorn is worth the price differential, especially if this is your last kid.

Got it with my first and now using it again with my second. Have gotten a lot of use out of it and it’s very portable for weekends at the grandparents and road trips. That said, if #3 is your last child, I wouldn’t necessarily invest in high end infant gear. As you’re aware, the babies outgrow these things so quickly.

We liked it for the same reason!

I haven't used a Fisher Price one so can't compare, but I did really like the Baby Bjorn. Baby loved it and I was able to bounce her to sleep at her most overtired and cranky when nothing else worked (yes, I know it's not a safe sleep environment, I immediately transferred her to the crib once she was asleep). I also liked that it had adjustable postures and that it folded flat.
