Agree. LAMB sent a very convoluted email today about planning to unmask referencing not following CDC and instead trying to make everyone safe. And “feel safe”. Then a survey to see if people feel safe. Like just follow the experts not a poll of staff and parents who have no idea?

There's not really anything to figure out. The CDC says masks aren't necessary. The Department of Health says masks aren't necessary. What expertise do these schools have that trumps them? Maybe we should follow the science....


Yup. And if they have additional information that makes their apparently bizarre and unscientific decisions look better, they can feel free to share. In that absence, I'm not going to assume they're hiding some PhD epidemiologists in the background.

No, at this point, there's increasing evidence that there are kids who are experiencing problems with the extended masking. Ignoring their very real issues is exactly ignoring disability issues.

1st-6th at Lee is mask optional.

Pk-K optional when outdoors, will be optional indoors at the end of April.

Yu Ying announced a date the mandate is lifted. It’s after spring break. But at least they announced a date.


Yu Ying brought back it’s outdoor mask mandate (!) when in high community level. They also will only allow mask option if in low community level (under 200 cases per 100k). They’re also keeping a travel quarantine when in high community level.

Over 70% of charters are still mask required.

My child's school is unmasking by choice for those vaccinated. He estimates only about half his class has chosen to take off their mask on any given day. Charter.
