It's not perfect, but try a BMI caliper test to see if you're in a good BMI range and have a good muscle/fat ratio. And yes, muscle weighs more than fat, so if you're lifting weights 2-3x a week, you'll carry 2-3 extra pounds than if you weren't. But you won't look it.
