Prell shampoo, can be hard to find but it will take the color out.

OP this happened to me once in a salon where they didn't realize how easily my previously dyed/highlighted hair would suck up brown hair dye. I washed it a lot with regular/cheap shampoo and dish detergent just to get rid of a little of it, and then went to a different hair salon where they put in highlights that were still dark highlights (low lights?) - it helped a lot to offset the flatness of the hair dye and have a little dimension.

Wash 5 or 6 times with Dawn. Then do a toning mask. You can buy them at Target. Trust me it will be fine. I’ve done similar things many times. And to those saying home hair dye is always bad, you’re wrong. When it’s bad yes you can tell but when it’s good it’s good. It’s about understanding your texture and what tones your hair tends to pull. Twice a year I spent $400 on cut, color and highlights but in between you better bet I’m box dying for upkeep.

I can always tell when women dye their own hair. I have never seen a good outcome. You may think you have done a good job,but it just looks off.

Do an olive oil or coconut oil mask, like cover your hair with oil and keep it on for a couple of hours. It is good for hair, but more importantly, it removes the hair dye.

Dawn dish soap or color oops.

It actually probably looks better than you think it is. I know two people that have dyed their hair darker recently and they look SO MUCH better than they did with dirty dish water, I mean "ash", brown.

Go to a professional for a color correction OR wait for it to fade on its own which should take 4-6 weeks. And next time go to a professional for hair color.
