The real question is District 1 - Jay Guan vs Grace Rivera-Oven?
Thoughts?

Doesn’t look like they’re related to his BOE campaign. Is he campaigning at all? Can’t find anything on any social media.
Yes. He filed. https://elections.maryland.gov/elections/2022/primary_candidates/gen_cand_lists_2022_1_by_county_16.html
I'm all for getting the word out for him!![]()

Totally. Quit her job at Magruder mid year to run for office in the name of supporting students. No thank you.
Yang sounds so dedicated Totally got my vote.
lol. Troll.
Too many BoE members are out-of-touch with reality, either being retired or SAHPs. We should only be electing working parents to the BoE, but we obvious have a problem with adverse selection due to the significant time demands and low pay for being a board member.
Hey, Docca's only 80 years old and doesn't even use email. How are you saying she's out of touch?
Not being distracted by all this useless email may allow her to get more done.

How are SAHPs out of touch with reality? I personally spend lots of time with my and other actual children and volunteer regularly in the schools. Your random job that has nothing to do with education doesn’t really qualify you for a BOE position.
It means your experience is of little relevance to the majority of kids/families in MCPS. If you don’t have a real job, it absolutely should (effectively) disqualify you from serving on the board.
Sorry, but that is ridiculous.
Don’t you have a soap opera to watch? That's better suited to the abilities of a SAHP.
Are you posting from 1962?

I guess she's not running for reelection this time because she still hasn't filed.
