But then when can the young kids stop masking? And quarantining? I am not at all worried about medical effects of infection, but these rules we have created need to end.

Yup same. Tired of the masks in toddler, tired of the quarantine policy that doesn’t give credit for them wearing masks, tire of seemingly being the only parent who has an issue with both these things! Everyone else at our daycare is seemingly cool with all this until the kids can be “protected” by a potentially ineffective vaccine.

My 3.5 year old had delta. Only symptom was less of an appetite for two days. Never would have known if I wasn’t testing for exposure.

Moderna might be filing for EUA next month for children 6 months to 5 years. We'll get it for DD if recommended, but I hope the authorities think carefully before recommending a vaccine that will likely have no proven benefits:

There were no cases of serious illness or hospitalizations in the trial, which included close to 7,000 children 6 months to 5 years old, making it impossible to detect the vaccine’s possible protective effect against the worst outcomes.

Have you read the 8-10 pages of Pfizer vaccine side effects. Do that first before you go injecting your kids or self with anything. Remember that pharmaceutical companies have no liability for injuries. Make the decision best for you but definitely do your homework first.

I wish that either they would make a car that could guarantee my 4 yr olds safety, or that we always had safer alternative modes of transportation.

I wish my kid's school had access to the kind of resources that wealthy publics and private schools did, because these children are so wonderful and deserve enrichment programs and properly staffed classrooms too.

I wish it was easier to provide nutritious meals to me kid. We work hard at it but it's still hard -- we work full time and are on a budget and sometimes we do as well as we'd like.

I can't imagine worrying about accesses too and ineffective vaccine for a virus that rarely impacts children at all. Just baffling. How is this your priority?!

No. But that’s not what I was responding to. I simply said I want my kids vaccinated for Covid as soon as possible. We aren’t avoiding anything.
